Looking for an Investigator Analyst/Auditor
Are you an experienced auditor looking for a position in which you can utilize your skills to assist others?
The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) in Olympia is looking for an auditor to fill an AGO Investigator Analyst (Auditor) position to work as a part of a professional, multi-disciplinary team consisting of attorneys, investigators, and investigative auditors with local, state and federal law enforcement.
The MFCU is in need of a trained auditor to review financial accounts and conduct audits for audit periods not included in existing provider audits. We are looking for an auditor to conduct the planning and development in order to support the investigations pertaining to Medicaid Fraud. Auditing functions include complex financial and performance audits in order to successfully investigate hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and other licensed professionals that support recipients of Medicaid funding. As an Auditor it is expected that you are able to prepare analytical, investigative and administrative reports using spreadsheets or other database programs. After collection of data it is expected that you are able to ensure proper collection and developing sources which includes proper preservation and accountability of the data and documents in order to prepare associated audit reports for cases.
Analysis will need to be conducted on both electronic and hard copy medical billing data and related documents. In addition to the audit functions, it is expected that the auditor will perform criminal history checks and investigate information collected from various state and federal agencies.
You will also have an opportunity to work as a team with local law enforcement agencies, Prosecuting Attorneys, a variety of state employees and Assistant Attorneys General in order to conduct a comprehensive investigation to support criminal prosecutions or civil actions against violators. At times we may also depend on you to conduct interviews, obtain written statements and prepare appropriate investigative documents for other investigations being conducted at MFCU.
