Hope the new year has started off well for you all. Like most I have had a bit of a break and read a couple of books. I read a book which was written by an investigator talking about his past life. I found the book to be just sufficiently interesting for me to get to the end and I certainly admire the writer for his achievments in his 2 other carreers and for building an investigation company which anybody would be proud to own. We all know how hard it is to grow a business. One of the last comments in the book got me thinking. The comment was that we dont investigate those seedy mum vs dad domestic matters. Does this mean that those of us who do some of this work are seedy or is this type of work not worth doing? Apart from the factual stuff most of us would be involved in covert surveillance. We all work for the client right? Any client thinks that thier problem is important right? I for one do a bit of this work and fail to see why it is seedy. In fact I find that the work is both challenging and rewarding. Challenging because the guilty one is always looking over his shoulder causing problems for the agent and rewarding because the client is so releaved and thankful when the job is done. I think the word seedy is a hang over from the old days of Private Investigation where anything goes. 2007 will be a big year for Magnum Investigations. Thank you to those guys and girls who helped me out with your fantastic skills last year.
