hey there im in need of some help. there is some guy harrassing me and my family. i need to find out who he is? and where he is? how can i do this in australia? we do not have any reverse directories here in aussie!

Do you have his phone number? I live in the UK and am quite happy to give it a call (as a wrong number) to see who answers. If that Doesn't work then you could try the following;

I successfully did this for a friend a short while ago.... I rang the number and said 'hello Mr Jones, this is the Charlton Debt Collection Agency, we are pursuing you on behalf of the HSBC Bank with regard to a bad debt'. The guy went out of his way to tell me that I had the wrong number and very quickly gave me his real name.

It may not work every time but usually if people think that you are wrongly chasing them for cash they will tell you pretty bloody quickly who they are!

I am currently having a similar problem trying to find out who a mobile number really belongs to. My boyfriend is in Addy and I've suspected for some time he's been playing around, won't tell me the truth though. He texted me from a mobile that he maintains belongs to a mate of his but I think it's his phone and he doesn't want me to know he has a mobile. I can't call it though as he would know it's me ringing from overseas. Do you think you could give it a call for me and just say you have a wrong number? He's welsh so you would know if it's him that answers. He wouldn't suspect an Adelaide number calling him and pick up.

Also keep me informed of your problem. I could try to find a reverse look up site here in the UK for you if necessary.

I will help you with that call if you like - if you can help me try to work out a name behind a phone number - same thing, think my husband is cheating and know the phone number and that it belongs to a woman - but would love even a first name so I know if it's a friend or something more sinister...

Hi there i have been getting death threats from a number i called the number found out who the person it is but thats only half the problem. they gave me a mobile number and said this person told me to send the threats. i ring the number but my number pops up i tried ring from other numbers and they wont tell me who they are the police wont do nothing as i have no proof. the person who gave me the number wont back it up in front of the police. So can anyone help me to get this persons full and real name. All i know is that this person is italian with a hard surname to say so i will need to get the correct spelling to forward to the police thanks. P.S Police wont track it without proof. Thanks

I'm having a similar problem. I have been getting threatening calls from a restricted number stating theyre sleeping with my boyfriend and threatening me with physical violence if I do not stop our relationship. I have confronted my boyfriend who is also the father of my child and he denied having an affair. He has also been getting phone calls from a restricted number 10-15 times a day and throughout the night. When he answeres they say nothing. When I answer his phone they say nothing. I once received a phone call and they forgot to block the number but I am unable to get any information under the reverse directory because it is a private land line. I have called the number but get directed to a recording. Is there any way to get the information with just the phone number. I have also tried the police and they tell me to just change my number and that they can't really do anything. What can I do? I even stopped talking to my son's father because of this and yet I continue to get these calls. I have just recently changed my phone number and it is such a hassle to get a new one.
